Research is often associated with affiliation with a formal academic or institutional structure, with the end product typically being
peer-reviewed papers. As someone not affiliated with a traditional university or research institution, I define my version of "independent research:" pursuing inquiry and
producing knowledge while challenging the conventional boundaries of being a researcher.
Independent research can take many forms,
but at its core, it's driven by a desire to learn and a commitment to making knowledge more transparent.
